Believers in Christ began as a home bible study group back in 1978.  In 1998, they incorporated as a non-profit church and met in various locations around Palestine until building their church in 2015.

Harold G. Fox

Pastor Fox grew in Palestine, Texas. The son, of Marlin "Lefty" & Virginia Fox, he graduated from Palestine High School in 1967.  He recieved a football scholarship to Texas Technological College (now known as Texas Tech University) where he started in fall of 1967.  After suffering a football injury that ended his sports career, he returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Beverly (Kay) Thomas Fox in 1968 before enlisting in the Army and heading to Japan. It was during his time in the service that he felt the call to serve the Lord. 

Upon his Honorable discharge in 1971, he returned home to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, from which he retired in 2001. 

 In 1973 he began mentoring under the Apostle John Carter Watts and was ordained in 1976 by Brother Jack Smith and the Deacons and Elders of the Back To The Bible Church in Oakwood,Texas. He mentored with Brother  Watts until his passing and then joined Brother Robert Ewing of the Caddo Gospel Campground MInistrries, ministering in churches in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and throughout the contintneial United States. 

In 2004, he graduated Magna Cum Laide with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Baptist MIssionary Association Theological Seminary and then again n 2007, with his Mastor of Divinity Degree.

Pastor Harold and his wife Kay have six children, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
